We have recovered Fernandel’s boat from the port of Sausset les Pins in association with Cinéma Espace Fernandel and the Carry-le-Rouet town hall.

The main material used for the Marseille boat is wood, which is dried in the sun. We analyzed the condition of the hull and drew up an initial list of the steps needed to renovate it.

The town and the association asked us to salvage the ship and display it on the public square in front of the port of Carry-le-Rouet: the aim being to preserve the heritage of our actor, Fernandel. Indeed, having already survived two shipwrecks in the past, leaving the hull in the water would have been far too risky.
